Join us for our annual adventure into the wooded hedgehog wonderland.
This will walk you through reading our policies, entering attendee names, selecting volunteer shifts, and paying for tickets. If you're buying tickets for a group of people, you only need to go through this once.
You’ll need names, phone numbers, email addresses, ticket tiers, and preferred volunteer shift preferences for each person you register for.
Please consider signing up for bringing Art & Activities or to perform Music! Participation from attendees is what makes Burrow special.
Volunteer Guide #
Here are the various volunteer roles at the event! They’re all a small part of making this a fantastic time for everyone.
- Site Coordinators: Site Coordinators are the small town sheriffs of Burrow, strolling the mean streets of the party while solving (usually minor) problems. Site coordinators perform tasks like finding lost tiki mugs, helping people set up tents, or locating an organizer when the generator runs out of gas. As SC, you’re expected to be a responsible, mostly sober individual during your shift (we have a separate truly sober driver who can be woken up for serious emergencies). For more details, see our SC Guide.
- Gate Attendant: You will be checking tickets, giving info, directing parking, and welcoming folks! For more details: Gate Attendant Instructions
- Newbie Ambassador: You will welcome Burrow Virgins at the Gate and escort them around the campsite, filling them in on the lore and love of all things Burrow. Make newbies feel as welcome as possible at Burrow.
- Kitchen Assistant: You will be helping our kitchen master make early dinner on Saturday or late night snacks on Friday or Saturday night!
- Tea Tent Specialist: You will be keeping heated water available for making tea and possibly assembling and brewing tea for folks wandering in. Socializing is a nice plus too but not required. See Tea Tent Instructions.
- Teardown Role: Everyone is expected to help cleanup the site on Sunday before they leave. To make things as efficient as possible, Teardown volunteers will sign up for a cleanup zone (such as “Art” or “Music & Lights”) ahead of time. Your cleanup lead will provide you with information on Saturday about how to teardown your zone, so you can get started as soon as you wake up Sunday. Aside from the official zone signups, we also need a good number of volunteers to stay until the very end to ensure we’ve left no trace. Usually we’re all out of the site by 4pm or so. More hands means even earlier!
Art & Activities #
Past visual art examples (Google Photos)
Participation from attendees is key to a fun Burrow, and bringing art or activities is a great way to contribute.
Art at Burrow is anything you think people would enjoy during the weekend, either to look at, interact with, or participate in. It doesn’t have to be big! Activites can be structured (a yoga class), or unstructured (bringing paint supplies).
Example activities from past Burrows:
- Whiskey Tasting
- Wim-Hof workshop
- Caricature drawing
- Foot feels experience (guessing objects by feeling them with your feet)
- Blackjack table
If you want to get an activity on the calendar, or if your art requires support from us, such as power from our generators, please fill out the form below!
If you make a living from your art, or if you need financial assistance making the event, note that in the form and we’ll discuss further.
Music #
Please submit yourself or someone you know as a performer for this year.
We’re always looking for new artists to perform and would love to have you play! Burrow is particularly great for experimenting and performing in front of a small, very enthusiastic audience. Many performers got their start here, and we’d love to hear what you have to play.
